Heated Seats Buttons

The Honda Civic is the all-time sixth best-selling car in the world.  It was first introduced to the Honda lineup back in 1972, and has seen eleven generations of continual improvements since then.  The myriad of included features make it a worthy competitor against other vehicles in the compact car class.  And better yet, the Civic comes at an affordable price point, which not every vehicle in its class can say.

Among the Civic's many features, it includes heated seating on select trims.  Bryan Honda in Fayetteville, North Carolina is here to let you know exactly which models provide heated seating.

Benefits of Heated Seats

Heated seats have many advantages, even past raising the value of your vehicle.  This feature is especially beneficial in climates that frequently face a frigid winter.  The heated seating on your vehicle brings the warmth closer to your body than that of your standard heating system.  Sometimes, it provides enough warmth that you do not even need to turn on your car's standard heating - the seat heater is enough.  When you do not need to run your car's heating system as often, it actually preserves energy usage on the vehicle.  In turn, this helps in improving the fuel economy of the vehicle.

Another benefit of heated seats is that they provide individual control.  Gone are the days of fighting over the heat setting when you are able to control exactly how warm you want your own seat to be.  When you have the ability to control the temperature to be exactly how you wanted, it makes your drive much more enjoyable - no matter where in the car you are sitting.  They even warm up much quicker than your car's heating system, allowing you to escape the cold in an even shorter amount of time.

Eleventh Generation Civic

The 2022 Honda Civic has kicked off the eleventh generation of the compact car, fifty years after its initial release.  It's safe to say that this new Civic did not disappoint, as it was recently awarded the prestigious North American Car of the Year award.

With the full redesign of the Civic, nearly nothing looks the same both inside and out.  The previously available 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system became standard.  Along with the touchscreen comes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a USB port, and a four-speaker audio system.  If these features are not quite luxurious enough, you can elect to upgrade your screen to a 9-inch touchscreen, change your Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to wireless, add several more USB ports, and more.  Remote start and automatic climate control also make an appearance.

The newest Honda Civic, of course, offers heated seating.  You will find standard front heated seats on the EX, EX-L, Touring, and Sport Touring trims.

Tenth Generation Civic

The tenth generation of the Civic included the model years from 2016 through 2021.  This generation brought the first turbocharged VTEC engines to North America.  Additionally, the hatchback, SI, and Type R models all became available.  The tenth generation of the Civic boasts excellent fuel economy, as well as a large cargo capacity compared to its competitors.

In 2019, a few new features were added onto the vehicle.  These include the full Honda Sensing suite, providing a full array of safety features, as well as a new volume control knob.  Previously during this generation, the volume control was a button.

The tenth generation of the Civic certainly provides heated seats on select trims.  These trims include heated front seats on the EX, EX-L, Si, Touring, and Sport Touring models.  The Touring and Sport Touring also provide heated rear seats.

Ninth Generation Civic

When you purchase a ninth generation Honda Civic, you are looking at a vehicle from the years 2012-2015.  This is a rather short-lived generation, including only four model years.  However, this does not negate the fact that it is still a great compact car.  For starters, the IIHS awarded the 2012 Civic a Top Safety Pick for its excellent scores.  This way, you know that when you get behind the wheel of a Civic, you are perfectly safe.

During the ninth generation of the Civic, drivers have many options to choose from.  They have the option to pick between a sedan or a coupe, an automatic or manual transmission, and even a choice between a gasoline, hybrid, or natural gas powertrain.

Heated seats are available on the ninth generation of the Honda Civic.  You will find this luxury available on the EX-L, and Civic Natural Gas with Navigation.
