When you think of the newest available Honda Pilot, you are thinking of the third generation of the SUV. The third generation began with the 2016 Pilot, receiving a facelift in 2019. Each year, Honda works diligently to improve all of its vehicles, and the Pilot is no exception.
In the third generation of the Pilot you will find a long list of standard features. These features include a standard 8-inch touch screen that features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as new tri-zone automatic climate control. The Pilot also features new trim levels, such as the Pilot Sport and TrailSport trims. One of the greatest benefits of this Honda Pilot is that it provides ample leg room for all passengers - something that many other three-row SUVs do not offer.

Second Generation Pilot
Honda released the second generation of the Honda pilot in 2009. Following its 2012 facelift, the second generation ran until its 2016 redesign. The first Honda Pilot was released in 2003, joining Honda’s lineup. It was actually Honda’s first family-size SUV. From its inception, the Honda Pilot has been able to seat up to eight passengers. However, it was still small enough to be considered a compact SUV - even though its roominess easily rivals most midsize SUVs. With the third row of seats folded down, it provides an exceptional amount of cargo space. It provides a V6 engine that is strong for its generation, as well both all-wheel and four-wheel drivetrains. Car and Driver even rated the first generation Honda Pilot as one of its 5 Best Trucks - a rarity for an SUV.
Some of the features that you are likely to find on a first generation Honda Pilot include a moonroof, cruise control, luggage rack, keyless entry, and heated mirrors - just to name a few. Drivers can also choose a navigation system or a rear DVD entertainment system as well. The backup camera on the Pilot is another wonderful feature, especially in an SUV.
The first generation Honda Pilot offers four different trim levels - the LX (later named VP), EX, SE, and EX-L. While the VP, EX, and SE trims do not offer leather seats, they do come as the standard on the EX-L trim. Not only that, but the EX-L trim also offers a leather wrapped steering wheel!
